Anacostia will soon have its throne again
It's crazy how in life little, well, in this case, big things, doesn't seem to mean anything until they're no longer around. In Marietta, GA, whenever you give someone directions, chances are The Big Chicken was used as a landmark, a guiding post, like the North Star.Who would have though in Washington, DC, there also is something big and weird. Of course there's the Washington Monument which has been described as a bunch of big things. There's the dome of the U.S. Capitol and the Cathedral. They're big, but they're supposed to be big.
What about The Big Chair? There is a 19 1/2 -foot-tall chair being rebuilt from Mahogany to aluminum on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. That's big.
